What the exam expects
- Identify who can create multi-workspace channels and change which workspaces a channel is shared with, and how an Org Owner or Org Admin extends that to specific members.
- Decide who can convert a multi-workspace channel to private and who can set its posting permissions.
- Add a workspace to, or remove one from, a multi-workspace channel from the channel's details, and recognise that #general can't be shared.
- Determine the roles needed to move a channel between workspaces, what moves with it, what to do before and after, and which channels can't be moved.
Key terms:
- Multi-workspace channel: a channel added to two or more workspaces in an Enterprise org, so people in different workspaces work in the same channel.
- Org-wide channel: a multi-workspace channel added to every workspace in the org, which can be set as a default channel.
- Create new multi-workspace channels: the org permission that controls who can create these channels and change which workspaces a channel is shared with.
- Move a channel: transferring a whole channel from one workspace to another inside the same org.
