What the exam expects

  • Assemble the workshop team (executive sponsors, Slack product owners, business-unit representatives) and settle early who approves the final design.
  • Run the workshop in order: best practices first, then the options, guiding the client to judge sustainability, end-user experience and admin workload, and documenting feedback.
  • Pressure test the selected option with the five best-practice questions, including the 80% test and the six, twelve and eighteen month horizon.
  • Close with the sign-off stakeholders and a deadline, then deliver an executive summary with workspace and channel recommendations.
  • Place the workshop in the session sequence and leave the client a workspace decision tree for growth.

Key terms:

  • Grid design workshop: an educational, advisory session where the consultant teaches grid best practices and walks the client through the options for an Enterprise organization (Enterprise Grid or Enterprise+ plan).
  • Pressure test: checking the selected option against the best practices before the workshop ends.
  • Executive summary: the final grid design deliverable the client uses to implement and grow Slack.
  • Workspace decision tree: questions admins ask before agreeing to create a new workspace.
