What the exam expects
- Tell an asset action (one change, as deltas) from an asset state period (a span of time, as totals) and read both after an amendment.
- Distinguish Action Date from the effective start of the state period a change creates.
- Classify a change into its fixed Business Category, such as Upsells or Downsells.
- Explain which asset fields the system fills (Has Lifecycle Management, Lifecycle Start and End Date, Current fields) and which it leaves alone (Quantity).
- Explain why migrated assets can't be amended, renewed or canceled, and what bundle details AssetRelationship stores.
Key terms: lifecycle-managed asset (an asset whose changes are tracked as actions and state periods); asset action (a record of one change, with deltas); asset state period (a span when quantity, amount and MRR stay the same); Business Category (the fixed reporting category of an action); Current fields (asset fields copied from the current state period).
