- Configure the Fundraising settings that move commitments to Lapsed, Failing and Closed.
- Record in-kind and stock commitments with the asset transfer fields.
- Distinguish hard credit, gift soft credits, gift default soft credits and gift tributes, and pick the donor and soft credit recipient for matched and donor-advised gifts.
- Key terms: gift commitment (a pledge, multipayment gift or open-ended recurring gift); gift commitment schedule (the payment plan that drives transactions); hard credit (credit to the donor who is directly responsible for the gift); soft credit (recognition for someone who influenced a gift); gift tribute (a gift made in honor or in memory of someone other than the donor).
