What the exam expects

  • Recommend a centralized, delegated or self-governing model for each governance area, and mix models when data sensitivity and team skills differ.
  • Recognize each Blueprint model from its description of roles, producers and processes.
  • Separate trusted from in-progress content with project types instead of tags, extra sites or revision history.
  • Choose between sites and projects as the boundary for departments or external clients.
  • Map a stated requirement to an Advanced Management feature, a Data Management feature or a core capability, on Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud.

Key terms:

  • Tableau Blueprint: Tableau's step-by-step guide and maturity framework for becoming a data-driven organization.
  • Governance model: centralized, delegated or self-governing; applied per area of data or content governance.
  • Site: a collection of users, groups and content walled off from everything else on the same server.
  • Advanced Management: the security, manageability and scalability feature set included with Tableau Enterprise, Cloud+, Server+ or Tableau+.
  • Data Management: the licence for Tableau Catalog, Prep Conductor, virtual connections and data policies.
