What the exam expects
- Configure an invoice scheduler: draft or posted invoices, frequency, target date or billing period count, and a catch-up bill run for migrated schedules.
- Generate invoices on demand from an Account or Order, and predict the effect of a suspended billing schedule.
- Choose an invoice group type, derive a due date from a payment term, and resolve values through billing profiles.
- Apply Day of Period boundaries to quarterly billing.
- Avoid setup failures: policy activation order, Exclude From Billing, order activation fields, duplicate schedule flows and synchronous invoice automation.
Key terms: invoice scheduler (runs invoice batch runs from Billing Batch Schedulers); target date (schedules with a next billing date on or before it are selected); catch-up bill run (advances migrated schedules without invoices); invoice group type (Default, Billing Schedule or Custom); billing profile (an account's billing account with its billing preferences).
