Turbo Extract: single object and related fields

How to configure a Data Mapper Turbo Extract: one object with related-object fields up to five levels, the filter options including IN and paging, the always-selected Id, what Turbo can't do, Options-tab caching and testing in Preview.

Official exam objective
Configure and retrieve data from a single object and related fields using Turbo Extract Interface.

What the exam expects

  • Recognise when a requirement fits a Turbo Extract (one object plus parent fields, no formulas or custom output mapping) and when it needs an Extract.
  • Select base-object and related-object fields, and predict that the Id is always returned.
  • Configure Turbo Extract filters: IN for arrays, AND/OR, LIMIT, OFFSET from an input node and ORDER BY.
  • Set caching on the Options tab and test the Turbo Extract in Preview with Edit as Params and the Debug Log.

Key terms: Turbo Extract (a Data Mapper that reads a single object type plus related-object fields), Selected Fields (the fields the Turbo Extract returns), Related Objects (the list that walks child-to-parent relationships), IN operator (matches a field against items in an input array), Ignore Cache (the Preview setting to clear when you want to see caching).
