Who sits on a client's Slack governance team (core team, workspace-level team, supporting functions), what the executive sponsor, product owner, champions and help desk each own, who should hold the Primary Owner role, and how often the team reviews support, analytics, clean-up and policies.

- Certification: Salesforce Slack Consultant
- Exam section: Governance Structure (Owner and Admin Roles)
- Study guide: https://www.certifyforce.com/study-guide/slack-consultant

**Official exam objective:**

> Identify the governance team and help assign roles.

## What the exam expects

- Name the three components of a Slack governance team and place any governance role in the right one.
- Assign accountability, roadmap, workspace administration, adoption and first-line support to the right role.
- Recommend a champions program when the client needs adoption advocates rather than more administrators.
- Advise who should hold the Primary Owner role and when ownership must be transferred.
- Recommend the cadence for each recurring governance activity.
- Key terms: **governance team** (the people who decide and support Slack after the engagement); **executive sponsor** (the role ultimately accountable for Slack's success); **product owner** (owner of the Slack roadmap, resources, policies and processes); **champions** (business-unit representatives who drive adoption); **Org Primary Owner** (the single holder of the highest administrative permissions in an Enterprise org).
