Who does what in the Salesforce ecosystem: customers, partners and the Salesforce Economy, the Trailhead career paths from admin to architect, what an admin does day to day, and the Scrum Lead and product owner on a Salesforce Scrum team.

- Certification: Salesforce Platform Foundations
- Exam section: Salesforce Ecosystem

**Official exam objective:**

> Differentiate between various job roles and career paths in the Salesforce ecosystem.

## What the exam expects

- Describe who makes up the Salesforce ecosystem (Salesforce, customers, partners, Trailblazers) and where Salesforce jobs are.
- Match a job description to a Trailhead career path: Admin, Developer, Architect, Consultant, Designer, Analyst, Cybersecurity, or the business paths for marketing, sales and service.
- List typical admin responsibilities, and tell them apart from developer and architect work.
- Tell the Scrum Lead, the product owner and the team apart on a Salesforce Scrum team.

Key terms:
- **Salesforce ecosystem:** Salesforce, its customers and its partners, working as one team.
- **Partner:** a Salesforce-certified expert who works with customers across products and industries.
- **Trailblazer:** a pioneer, innovator and lifelong learner who uses Salesforce to transform an organization.
- **Scrum Lead:** the person who manages the team's delivery process and removes blockers.
- **Product owner:** the person responsible for the what and why, who prioritizes the product backlog.

- Why do partners hire business analysts, consultants and architects?
- When is a Salesforce Architect the right role rather than an admin?
- Why does a compliance-focused security job map to Cybersecurity Careers and not to Salesforce Admin?
- Who on a Salesforce Scrum team prioritizes the product backlog?
