What the Company Information page holds (org defaults, licenses, fiscal year), how standard and custom fiscal years differ, how business hours and holidays pause escalations, and what turning on multiple currencies and advanced currency management really changes.

- Certification: Salesforce Platform Administrator
- Exam section: Configuration and Setup
- Study guide: https://www.certifyforce.com/study-guide/platform-administrator

**Official exam objective:**

> Describe the information found in the company settings (for example: company settings fiscal year, business hours, currency management, default settings).

## What the exam expects

- Identify what the Company Information page shows (org defaults, fiscal year setting, org ID, storage, user and feature license counts) and what lives elsewhere.
- Choose between a standard fiscal year with a different start month and a custom fiscal year, and explain why enabling custom fiscal years is a one-way decision.
- Configure business hours and holidays so escalation rules and entitlement milestones only count time when the support team is working.
- Explain the permanent implications of enabling multiple currencies: corporate currency, record currency, personal currency and report conversion.
- Recommend advanced currency management when opportunity amounts must convert at the rate in effect on the close date.
- Tell apart the default settings (language, locale, time zone, currency) and which of them a user can override.
