- Certification: Salesforce Platform Administrator II
- Exam section: Cloud Applications
- Study guide: https://www.certifyforce.com/study-guide/platform-administrator-ii

**Official exam objective:**

> Describe the features of Salesforce which enable Sales users to conduct the sale process, including products, price books, schedules, orders, and quotes.

## What the exam expects

- Explain why a new product needs an active standard price before it can join a custom price book, opportunity or quote.
- Predict what happens when a rep changes the price book on an opportunity that already has products.
- Describe quote syncing and the conditions that stop an admin disabling Quotes.
- State when an order can be activated and what can change afterwards.
- Calculate installments from default quantity and revenue schedules, and enable schedules on new products.

Key terms:
- **Standard price**: a product's default price, in the standard price book.
- **List price**: a product's price in a custom price book.
- **Sales price**: the price a rep uses on a deal, possibly discounted.
- **Synced quote**: the one quote mirrored with its opportunity's products.
- **Default product schedule**: a schedule on the product, created when it is added to an opportunity.
