# Self-registration pages, profiles and accounts

## What the exam expects

- Configure self-registration on the Login & Registration page: the toggle, the default profile and the default account.
- Choose a registration page type (Default, Experience Builder, Visualforce, Configurable Self-Reg Page) and know which login page types allow the Configurable Self-Reg Page.
- Set the Configurable Self-Reg Page so new users are created correctly and can log in.
- Recognise when CommunitiesSelfRegController code overrides the Login & Registration settings.
- Pick the right account model for consumers, partner reps and sole traders, and a restrictive default profile.

Key terms: **Login & Registration** (the Administration page in Experience Workspaces that holds login and sign-up settings); **Configurable Self-Reg Page** (a sign-up form with email or phone only, driven by a generated Apex handler); **Execute Registration As** (the user whose context the handler runs in); **CommunitiesSelfRegController** (the Apex controller behind self-registration on every page type); **person account** (an individual stored as one account-contact record).
