What external users can't do because of their license: API calls by license, username uniqueness, email templates, account teams, task reminder emails, and the 50,000-account ownership limit with person account owner power users.

- Certification: Salesforce Experience Cloud Consultant
- Exam section: Customization Considerations and Limitations

**Official exam objective:**

> Explain limitations across all Experiences.

## What the exam expects

- Pick the license that gives external users API access, using the per-license daily API allocation.
- State the username uniqueness rule for Customer Community, Customer Community Plus, External Identity, Partner Community and Employee Community users.
- Recognise license-level gaps that no permission fixes: email templates, account teams and task reminder emails.
- Resolve an internal user approaching the 50,000-account ownership limit for role-based external users.

Key terms:
- **Role-based license:** a license whose users are assigned a role, such as Customer Community Plus or Partner Community.
- **API calls per day:** the per-user allocation a community license adds on top of the org's own API limits.
- **Account team:** a team of users who work together on an account.
- **Person account owner power user:** a user configured through the PersonAccountOwnerPowerUser object so it can own more than the standard 50,000 external accounts.
