*Agentforce Sales Consultant Study Guide · Consulting and Implementation Strategies · Last updated October 15, 2026 · https://www.certifyforce.com/study-guide/agentforce-sales-consultant/consulting-and-implementation-strategies/project-lifecycle-delivery-methods-and-scope-control*

The five project lifecycle phases and the artifact each produces, how to choose waterfall, Scrum or Kanban from the shape of the work, and how a scope statement, change control, a risk register and status reporting keep a Salesforce project on time and in scope.

- Certification: Salesforce Agentforce Sales Consultant
- Exam section: Consulting and Implementation Strategies
- Study guide: https://www.certifyforce.com/study-guide/agentforce-sales-consultant

**Official exam objective:**

> Leverage the project management lifecycle to deliver a successful solution on time and within scope.

## What the exam expects

- Place activities and artifacts in the right lifecycle phase: Initiate, Plan, Execute, Monitor and Control, Close.
- Choose waterfall, Scrum or Kanban from the requirements, size, feedback needs and flow of the work.
- Control scope: a scope statement, sign-off on requirements, and change control that assesses schedule and cost before a change is approved.
- Manage risk and performance: a risk register with owners, regular status reporting with issues and risks, early action on variances and on the biggest unknowns.

Key terms:
- **Project charter:** the Initiate-phase document defining scope and objectives that the sponsor approves.
- **Scope statement:** describes precisely what is and is not included in the project.
- **Work breakdown structure (WBS):** the approved scope broken into deliverables and activities.
- **Scope creep:** unauthorized changes included without approval.
- **Risk register:** the log of identified risks with probability, impact, owners and responses.
